Confession time. Truth is, I have
a very severe, chronic case of
the travel bug. It seems to flare up at it's worst every time
I try to work in an office. I have decided to try to cure
this affliction by taking an extended travelling/biking/hiking
adventure-trip all over world. Only time will tell if the
treatment will work.
Prior to this trip I had been working for 11 months as an engineer at a pharmaceutical company. It was a contract position which was due to expire after one year but lucky for me it ended a month early. Before that I spent five months thru-hiking the entire 2,167-mile Appalachian Trail. I guess you could say I like a good challenge.
Thanks to everyone who has supported me in my decision to abandon the conventional American Dream and to seek out my own path to happiness. I still have no idea what I want to do when I grow up but I intend to have a really good time while I figure it out...
Gotta give special props to Momo, my best friend, confidant, and designer of this site. (He charges a reasonably good rate if anyone is interested, but payment must be made in the form of kitty treats and dry food.)
